Map - Winter Hostel resorts in Fjord Norway (Stryn, Voss, Mjolfjell, Geilo)

The fjords and mountains of Fjord Norway are the perfect backdrop to unique and family-friendly winter adventures. The region offers quality skiing – all year round!

The skiing terrain in Fjord Norway is world class, and many of the resorts are very impressive in terms of stable snow conditions – both winter and summer. With its two word-class summer ski resorts, the region can almost offer skiing every month of the year! In most of the resorts, you will find family-friendly, well-groomed slopes as well as challenging free skiing terrain. Some of the resorts also have terrain parks.

Compared with the big resorts in the Alps, the ski lift systems are small-scale. Sometimes, you can almost have the slopes to yourself – especially in midweek. If you prefer cross-country skiing, there are many great tracks to choose from. If you bring (or rent) ski touring equipment, there are completely untouched mountains where you can sometimes ski all the way from mountain summits down to the fjord.

A winter adventure in Fjord Norway should also include a visit to one of the towns in the region, or you can join a round trip to see the fjords and steep mountains covered in ice and snow.
