Sogndal is located by Norway´s longest fjord, the Sognefjord. There are good opportunities for outdoor activities with fjord, mountains, and glaciers near by. Attractions: day trips to the Nigardsbreen Glacier and the Norwegian glacier museum, trips to Flam with the famous Flam Railway Line, the stave churches Borgund and Urnes. The Sogndal Youth and Family Hostel offers different kind of accommodation, single room, double room and family room. Single bed (shared) is also available. Good self catering facilities
Location: Sogndal Family and Youth hostel is situated right by the main roads E5 and RV5 that are passing through the centre of Sogndal.From Fjærland and Hella: Drive through the centre direction Lom, and take to the left just before the bridge. From Lom and Manheller: The hostel is on the right hand side after the bridge (before coming to the centre). The hostel is a 15 minutes walk from the bus- and ferry terminal. Bus stop right by the hostel.
