The Preikestolen Youth and Family Hostel is located in picturesque surroundings in Ryfylke (altitude 250 m). This is a good starting point for walks to the famous Pulpit Rock (Preikestolen) (2 hours). Se picture of the Preikestolen rock above. The hostel offers excellent opportunities for hiking and fishing.
The hostel offers different kind of accommodation, double room and family room. Single bed (shared) is also available. Good self catering facilities.
Please note: The Preikestolhytta cabin is a mountain hostel and from time to time the cell phone- and Internet connection may be down. Please wait and try again if you have problems reaching the hostel.
Location: Take the ferry from Stavanger to Tau, the follow Rv 13 through Jorpeland. Follow the sign to Preikestolen Vandrerhjem. If coming from the east, you can drive towards Algard, following Rv 45/508 towards Lauvik. From here there is a ferry to Oanes. Take Rv 13 and follow the signs to the hostel.
