Hardanger and the Hardangerfjord area is a name that Norwegians associate with blossom and fruit. Lofthus is located in the middle of the orchard of Norway! A mild and pleasant climate and clear, light summer nights are ideal for our guests, as much as for fruit and berries. From the Lofthus Youth and Family Hostel (Lofthus Vandrerhjem, Hardanger), you have easy access to the Hardangerfjord, the Hardangervidda National Park and two of Norway`s largest glaciers, Folgefonna glacier and Hardangerjokulen glacier. From mountains and glaciers the majestic waterfalls foam down into the queen of fjords.
The Lofthus hostel offers different kind of accommodation, single room and double room. Single bed (shared) is also available. Good self catering facilities.
Location: Lofhus Yoth and Family Hostel, Hardanger is located on the sunny side of the Sorfjord, a fjord-arm of the Hardangerfjord. Rv 13 goes straight through the village Lofthus, from where one can follow signs to the hostel.
