South of Haugesund and Haugesund Airport you will find the beautiful island Karmoy. The Kamoy Family and Youth Hostel (Karmøy Vandrerhjem)on the island is located just outside the community centre Kopervik. Experience the fascinating costal landscape of the island or visit the idyllic town of Skudeneshavn. A visit to the “Nordvegen Historical Centre” is compulsory when visiting the area – remember Karmoy was the home of the Norwegian Vikings. A yearly Viking festival takes place in June.
The hostel offers different kind of accommodation, single room, double room and family room. Single bed (shared) is also available. Good self catering facilities
Location: The Karmoy Family and Youth Hostel is located on Karmoy. Driving from the south, you drive towards Kopervik on Rv 47. When you reach Eide, take a right towards Kopervik. The hostel is then located on the right side of the road, approximately 100 meter from the intersection.
From Haugesund/the north on Rv 47, you take a right towards Kopervik right after the only tunnel on Karmøy. The hostel is located on the right side.
