The Gullingen Hostel (Gullingen Vandrerhjem) is located by the idyllic lake Mosvannet in Suldal, Ryfylke - a magnificent area for outdoor activities. Gullingen is situated not far away from The Pulpit rock, Preikestolen, which is one of many daytrip alternatives staying at Gullingen. Canoe rental at the Gullingen Hostel. The lake is great for rowing, canoeing, swimming and fishing. Suitable terrain for walking and there are several marked trails in the area.
The Gullingen Hostel offers different kind of accommodation, single room, double room and family room. Single bed (shared) is also available. Good self catering facilities
Location: Located in Suldal, Ryfylke, Rogaland.
From Stavanger: Take a ferry to Tau, then drive from Tau to Hjelmeland, 45 km. From Hjelmeland take a ferry to Nesvik. Nesvik is 30 km from Gullingen.
From Haugesund: drive towards Oslo, exit by Olen, towards Sandeid. Drive towards Vikedal and Ropeid, approximately 50 km. Take a ferry from Ropeid to Sand. Sand is 16 km from Gullingen.
