Aandalsnes is beautifully located by the Romsdal fjord, surrounded by majestic mountains. Good opportunities for mountain walking and fishing. The Rauma Salmon River is only a few minutes away. Short distance to the famous Trollveggen, the highest vertical mountain wall in Europe, and Trollstigen - a fascinating old mountain road.
The hostel offers different kind of accommodation, single room, double room and family room. Single bed (shared) is also available. Good self catering facilities.
Location: The Aandalsnes Youth and Family Hostel (Åndalsnes Vandrerhjem) is located by road E-136, 1,5 km from the centre of Aandalsnes direction Alesund. Coming from Trollstigen or Dombas: take left at the Shell petrol station, cross the bridge and drive fro 200 m. Follow the sign to the left to the hostel (Vandrerhjem). Coming from Aalesund: the Aandalsnes hostel is located 300 m after the church in Veblungnes. Coming from Molde (RV-64): Follow the signs to Aalesund from the roundabout in Aandalsnes, drive past the Shell Petrol Station and follow description given above. From the bus/train station: It is a 15-20 minutes walk from the station to the hostel. The Aalesund bus drives past the hostel and stops by the hostel on request.
